What is dual enrollment?
Dual enrollment provides students the unique opportunity to take community college classes while still in high school. These courses can also count toward your high school diploma and college credits.

Why take Dual Enrollment?
High school students can benefit from taking college courses by getting an early taste of college life and earning credits that can count toward a college degree. Research indicates that participating in dual enrollment programs has a positive effect on students, leading to higher success rates in college, increased enrollment, and higher graduation rates. By earning college credits while still in high school, you may also be able to reduce the time it takes to earn your college degree, as well as gain access to internships, elective courses, or the option to pursue a double major.

How can a student get started in dual enrollment?
Students will meet with Mrs. Flores, our SBHEM College Counselor, to sign up. They will then have a chance to complete the registration process, select classes, and review the IGETC with the counselor.
