The Fall 2026 semester begins on Wednesday, August 12, at 8:30 a.m. Before the first day of school, all students must attend registration. Please refer to the attached schedule for your assigned registration date and time. Registration will take place on the following dates:

If you did not receive the packet, please visit our office to pick one up before your assigned registration date.
All students must submit a completed registration packet to receive their class schedule. After receiving their schedule, students should review it carefully for errors. If corrections are needed, counselors will be available during registration. Any errors not reported at that time may be corrected later by scheduling an appointment once the school year begins.
If your student will not be attending Sylmar Biotech Health & Engineering Magnet this fall, please notify us as soon as possible by calling (818) 833-3723.
School Supplies
Students should arrive on the first day of school prepared to learn. Essential materials include:
- School-issued Chromebook and charger
- Backpack or school bag
- Lined paper / notebooks
- Pens and pencils
Teachers will inform students of additional materials needed during the first week of school.
Textbooks
Textbooks will be distributed during the first week of school. Please help us preserve these resources (which on average cost $90 each) by encouraging your student to cover and care for their books. Lost or damaged books will result in replacement fees.
